With our incredible community of volunteers and students, we had a successful and productive Earth Day! Several fun STEM activities were available for students and families, students painted the stones that will surround our school pollinator garden, and our parent and grandparent volunteers were able to put together the large compost bin that will collect and process all of our school’s compostable food waste.
Our Leadership Team designed and ran their own “plant a seed” booth and helped coordinate the rest of the activities, all of our students made seed paper that families could take to create wildflower gardens at home, and the Leadership Team enthusiastically tested out the workings of the compost bin they will help to maintain for the school. Great work, Redwood community! Our school may be small, but our impact is mighty!
